When the water pressure of the gas wall mounted boiler is too high, the following steps can be taken to ensure the normal operation and safety of the system:
1、 Emergency handling measures
Close the inlet valve:
Immediately close the inlet valve of the wall mounted boiler to prevent more water from entering the system and prevent the water pressure from continuing to rise.
Check the safety valve:
If the safety valve has automatically opened and released pressure, wait for it to complete the automatic pressure relief process. Usually, when the water pressure exceeds the set value (such as 0.3MPa), the safety valve will automatically start.
2、 Treatment for different heating systems
Underfloor heating or concealed radiator heating system
Open the exhaust valve:
Find the exhaust valve on the water separator, open the valve and connect the plastic pipe to allow excess water to drain until the system pressure drops to a safe range (such as below 2 bar).
Pay attention to connecting the drainage pipe to avoid water splashing onto the ground or causing other damage.
Surface mounted radiator heating system
Close the tap water valve:
First, close the tap water inlet valve of the wall mounted boiler and cut off the water source.
Find and open the water outlet:
Go to the radiator area, especially the bathroom or other easily operated radiators, and open the drain port to drain water.
During the drainage process, pay attention to the system pressure gauge and stop draining when the pressure drops to the normal range.
Tighten the valve:
After completing the water discharge, ensure that all valves are tightened to prevent system leakage.
3、 Long term maintenance recommendations
Regular inspection:
Regularly check whether the water pressure gauge, inlet valve, safety valve and other components of the wall mounted boiler are working properly.
Regularly check whether the water replenishment valve is tightly closed or damaged to avoid unnecessary water replenishment causing high water pressure.
Cleaning and maintenance:
Regularly clean the scale and impurities inside the wall mounted boiler to maintain smooth and efficient operation of the system.
Regularly exhaust the heating system, remove air from the system, and maintain stable water pressure.
Professional maintenance:
If you are unable to handle or determine the cause of the problem yourself, you should promptly contact professional after-sales or maintenance personnel for inspection and repair.
4、 Precautions
During the handling process, it is essential to pay attention to safety and avoid accidents such as electric shock and burns.
Wall mounted boilers of different brands and models may have different operating methods and requirements. Please refer to the corresponding user manual for operation.
Keep the wall mounted boiler and its surrounding environment clean and ventilated to avoid affecting the normal operation and service life of the equipment.
